What kind of society have we become? Submitted by marie

What kind of people are we, if we think it's ok for people to kill doctors, and blow up buildings to try to deny a woman the right to terminate a pregnancy, yet we allow a husband to starve his wife to death??

Which is more cruel?

How would he like to be starved to death?

How uncomfortable is it if you miss lunch, or dinner? How about going without food until you die? While people watch?

Gruesome!

When we care more about UNBORN rights than the rights of those already here, who are protected by the Constitution's rights to LIFE & LIBERTY, we are a society in decline.

============================
In striking down "Terri's Law",
the court said it was not
"insensitive to the struggle that all members of Theresa's family have endured since she fell unconscious in 1990." "However,
we are a nation of laws and we must govern our decisions by the rule of law and not by our own emotions," the decision said.
==============================

We _are_ "nation of laws," but when the laws are bad, they need to be changed! We don't execute innocent people just because they exhausted their appeals! (Oh, yes we do!) What happened to JUSTICE. Not Law, and legal trickery?

I agree on the fact that we allow people to blow up buildings etc... whatever... you know that's part of our judicial system that needs to be figured out, but on the fact of womens' rights on pregnancy abortion, I have to disagree.

You think that a woman should be able to choose to kill the child inside of her. Well you know what? that is murder... that child was formed and a spirit was given to it before it was born. The woman who is carring the baby is responsible for her actions and needs to fess up to them. She made a choice to have sex unprotected and she must face the consequences.

Now I bet you're thinking well what about rape... well, that was a situation that God put in her life to face and to learn from... she should be grateful for such a gift. instead of being selfish... this baby is a real person (not a fetus as scientists may call it) they just try to dull the fact that having an abortion is murder.

This person has a say too... why does freedom of choice not go for that person in the womans belly too. They should have first say on whether they live or not... not the holder... and if people didnt consider the "fetus" a child, why did Scott Peterson get charged for double homicide... just think about it... for all of the people lost through abortions it would be the equivalent of having a tsunami everyday for the next 10 years...

Hi... you make a good point when it comes to how disgusting it is for Schiavo's husband to allow her to starve to death.

But on your comment about the people who value the unborn... I'm willing to bet, those same people are ALSO the ones fighting for the woman in Florida... and her right to keep her feeding tube.

These are people who value all life. Take care!

ARE YOU SPEAKING IN GENERAL?

YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE BEING KILLED THEN BLOWING UP BUILDINGS THEN PREGNANCY AND STARVING.

WHAT POINT R U TRYING TO GET AT? I THINK THIS WORLD HAS SO MANY DIFFRENT KINDS OF PEOPLE, AND OF COURSE THE WAY ONE THINKS MAY NOT BE HOW ANOTHER THINKS......

SO TO SOME IT MAY BE OK FOR PEOPLE IN OUR SOCIETY TO DO THINGS SUCH AS YOU MENTIONED.

I HONESTLY THINK THAT A LOT OF IT HAS TO DO WITH HOW PEOPLE ARE RAISED. I WOULD LIKE TO HERE MORE ON YOUR VIEWS.

Ladies,

I think it might be a good idea to move this discussion over to the Forum perhaps. It might be a better place to air your views, post in this one:
