Y don't they like me? Submitted by frvrcats

My boyfriend's parents do not like me. I am sure of this from the way that they treat him, he still has to ask to go out and he is 18 and at times they let him go but tells him to come back like before the street lights come on.

Recently me and my bf had a disagreement and we were not talking when we started back, he had to tell his parents that he was out with family and friends everyone but me, and they were cool with that. But they found out we went back out and all of a sudden he couldn't be out anymore. Am i wrong for telling him that i don't care if his parents like me or not, n do u think that his parents like me and r just being protective.

Don't tell anything to your boyfriend that you don't want to get repeated to your boyfriend. Tell your friends, or your parents. He tells everything to your parents, especially when he is at home. He eats dinner with them, they live in the same house, and your name comes up a lot.

And yes, if you think his parents don't like you, maybe they don't. If you told him that, he probaly said that to his parents. Be careful what you say because everything always gets repeated.

First and foremost, if he is still living at home, he is still bound by the rules of the house that his parents have set for him if he wants to continue living there.

Secondly, sounds like he tells his parents everything and now that he is back with you he may be embarrassed to even tell his parents he has forgiven you. Maybe the new house rule is he cannot see you any more. And I am sure you know why.
