Best Friend? Whatever!

I was at my best friend's house when I heard my best friend say to one of my other friends, "I can't believe that Anna actually thinks we like her! She's a lunatic!"
I haven't had the guts to tell her I heard what she said. What should I do? Stay friends with her or put her on the streets?

Are they truly friends of yours then? Someone who would say that might not be a friend but rather hanging around with you for perhaps an ulterior motive.
That said, sometimes people say things they don't mean to people they're trying to impress, so maybe it's best to broach the subject with your best friend and clarify her position.

I had a similar experience. I had these friends and one day I get a call from one saying I heard you said this about me. I was really confused because what I had said wasn't bad at all but someone I had considered a friend had backstabbed me. So now I'm not talking to any of them, which leads me to think now how can you trust anyone at all anymore?

I AGREE, I THINK U SHOULD SAY SOMETHING TO YOUR "SO- CALLED" BEST FRIEND, IN ONE OF THE OTHER COMMENTS, IT SAID "SHE MAY HAVE SAID SOMETHING SHE DIDN'T MEAN, TO IMPRESS SOMEONE" BUT I PERSONALLY THINK THAT EITHER WAY, SHE SAID IT AND IF SHE WAS A TRUE B.F., SHE WOULD HAVE A LITTLE MORE RESPECT FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR FRIENDSHIP TO NOT MAKE A COMMENT LIKE THAT, HOPE THINGS WORK OUT.

I think you should absolutely confront them! You are hurting yourself by not saying anything, and I think you deserve to know why they feel the need to say such things about you. Good luck.
