Ack! Dog Attack.

What the heck is with people with dogs that are out of control!?!? Today on the seawall this dog leapt in mid-air to attack me as I ran by, I was only saved by the fact that the owner ripped it out of the air by the leash! And this is not the first time it's happened!!! WHY would you want a dog like that!? GRRRR!!!

I guess you might want one for protection, but the real issue is that the dog hasn't been properly socialized. I was recently attacked by a German Shepherd in a park where the owner couldn't control the dog. He put a rip in my brand new leather coat <> but it wasn't the dogs fault...it was the bad owner.
My tip is to put your fist into a ball and bonk him/her on the nose. It does startle them, but they back right down. Then leave. I saved a West Highland Terrier using the procedure on the German Shepherd.

I would always wonder the same thing, I like to jog and just to go jogging I have to carry a knife and a can of killer spray with me so that I will not be attacked by any mutt.
I was hit by an suv while trying to run away from a mutt I ran right in front of his truck, that was the last time I would ever run from another dog, I almost killed myself trying not to be eaten by a mutt.
That will never happen again.
