Many will likely be put off by the sucker-punch opening notes of "Opium"; however, much like I suspect of its namesake, if you survive the first hit, you're coasting in a dream (no condoning that stuff here--"Opium" just projects a similar weirdness of situation. You almost question if you should be sniffing it). This is an intense, incredibly distinct scent that will not--I repeat, will not--be mistaken for anything else. It resolves itself in an intense woodiness that almost steams off the body. It's like basting in a sauna, while surrounded by bundles of spices. If you are not a fan of subtle orientals and wood-based scents--even chypres, test this scent at your own risk.

What's old is new again. This fragrance wears well throughout the day. It is sexy and sensual. It's only down side is it's association with the 1980s. But who knows the 80s are back, why not this fragrance.
