Abstract: Set in 1897, the tale of an isolated village confronting an astonishing truth that lies just outside its borders. At first glance, this village seems picture perfect, but this close-knit community lives with the frightening knowledge that creatures reside in surrounding woods. The evil and foreboding force is so unnerving that none dare venture beyond the borders of the village and into the woods. But when curious, headstrong Lucius Hunt plans to step beyond the boundaries of the town and into the unknown, his bold move threatens to forever change the fate of the village.

I agree with the last poster, I was expecting a suspense movie, and this was quite boring. I liked signs, and I think this movie was advertised to be a similar type of movie. I love Juaquin Phoenix, so that was at least a plus. The idea of why this village existed was a great idea, I just really didn't like the plot of how they kept up the village. It was silly and dull.

I was expecting to jump out of my seat with this thriller. Instead it made me yawn, it was so boring. You would think it would have been better because it was made by the same people who did "Signs". Please make movies like "Sign" and get rid of this crap.
