Abstract: Queen Latifah reinvents herself in this gorgeously jazzy album covering jazz classics and R&B favorites.

The Queen shows off more than just her smooth lyrical rhyming in her new sultry CD featuring covers on classics like Al Green's "Simply Beautiful", James Moody's "Moody's Mood for Love", Mamas & The Papas "California Dreamin'" and many more.

The Dana Owens Album

The rating number should have gone up to at least 10. Then I would have given it a twenty. My husband and I love this album. Each song is sweet music to our ears. Of course we do have a couple that are our favortes, but we enjoy each one. It's just so soothing and enjoyable. I have a seventeen year old son that only listens to "Rap" and he told me that one day while he was at work he found himself humming a tune from the album.

My husband and I have been married for twenty-one years and when we are riding in the car we like to listen to this CD. It's very romantic. We wish that there was a club here in Phoenix that only played this type of music.

Please tell me that Queen Latifah is coming out with another album just like this one. Any future plans of performing this album in Phoenix, Arizona? I want to purchase front row seats. This is the kind of music that makes you sing, dance and make love to. Just really good listening music. "Way to go girl." Thank you so much!...

For months I have been looking for this CD to purchase because of the duet with Queen and Al Green and hoped that I would like the other cuts. I am pleased to announce that this is the CD every girl must have to set the "mood." The Queen has far surpassed my expectations of a continuation of her soulful sounds in Moulin Rouge. She hits the spot that I have yearned to hear between Jazz and Soul that few others can stir. This is a must have for the romantic moments and the blast the sound clean up to music that we all need. I find it relaxing over wine and while I do the dishes after a long day and I am sure you will too!
