My mom tried it and it cleared her face up (she had slight redness on her face and it was gone) so she recommended it to me. I don't have bad acne, but I'm prone to break outs every once in a while.
After the first week I started having major break outs all over my face, especially on my cheeks and forehead. I continued to use the product, using the "spot treatments" in hopes of clearing up the acne I had. But it just became worse and worse until I returned to my original Biore cleaning routine.
I've never had breakouts as bad as I did when using ProActiv.

What is the deal with this stuff, I just put some on my forhead and about 13/4 inch below my eye after a bit I felt like i was on fire , I am red like burnt on both spots I had to wash it off, gee i have a wedding to go to in the morning hope this goes away. I feel like this was sure a waste of money.

I used Proactiv religiously for a year and it had no effect on my acne. I guess it doesn't work in everyone. However, Retin-A DOES work.

Proactive is a really great product but at first when you use it you break out because it removes all the impureites from your skin and slows down your oil glands, after a few days you body is noticing that so it turns you oil glands fully but after the first week the body will get use to it and keep the oilglands at low but your skin will still be moisterized and it does clear you skin and lightes brown spotes fixes uneven color and softens your skin and gives your skin a glow. Proactive is great and i love it

I just had my first night with ProActiv and telling you the product is expensive. You have to have good logistics so you could buy the 60day supply. I'm hoping it will work for me.

I have had acne for over 10 years and had no luck with any acne treatments. After I used <a href=http://www.crescatsententia.org/>Proactiv Acne Treatment</a> for 3 months my face is as clear as ever.

After years of chronic acne including, nodules (aka underground zits), and whiteheads, I'm finally free!!! At first it only helped a little bit, but when i started to sleep earlier it helped A LOT more! I lovvvvve this stuff!! The secret is that you need to throw in a moisturizer too, a non con-something, meaning it doesn't block your pores and its oil free. Having dry skin makes your face more oily rite? I use the Biore blemish fighting ice cleanser to clear off my make up, then the proactive 3 step program, followed by the aveeno skin brightning lotion at nite, then daytime i use vichy non con. spf 30 moisturizer, and it WORKS! its so awesome! I never thought i'd have clear skin! my friends all tell me that my skin improved sooo much! i don't usually write in forums and stuff, but i just wanna try to help others looking for answers.... heres my 2 cents, good luck!

I have been using proactive for about a year now. In the being I could really see a difference, but as time went on it pretty much just stopped working.

I used it during the "trial" period and sent it back. It seemed to irritate my skin and break out more.

The Proactiv system cleared up my skin initially by about 50%, people even started commenting that my face looked a lot better. I noticed that I still got those tiny annoying little spots on my cheeks and the monthly blemishes on my chin. As I kept using it, the efficacy seemed to wane. Eventually I decided that the cost to benefit ratio wasn't worth it-Proactiv tends to be a bit on the expensive side. There are generic versions being sold at drugs stores and even at costco. If I were to go back to using a system like this, I would buy it there so as not to be locked into a contract.

i have been using proactiv for 8 months now. it did not work. i'm really disappointed. i'm still using the product though. i'm hoping someday it'll work on me like it did to millions others. i would love to see my skin clear for once.

The key to proactiv is using the 5 pc kit. It comes with a moisturizer and is really soothing for my skin. I have been using it for a year and it's the only thing that works for me!

I started using Proactiv. The first week my skin was fine. The next week it started getting really dry and chapped,but I kept using it. I am on my 60 day supply now and I love it! my face is almost completely clear!!

This product worked for many people but it did nothing for me, in fact it dried out my skin so much that my skin broke out even more!
I used this for 9 months as instructed and this is one product that I find you have to continuously use or else you break out even more.
