Luscious Jackson - Electric Honey
Abstract: With its dark hip-hop-influenced alternative rock, Luscious Jackson recreates the dense, multicultural bohemian world of New York in a collage of sound, where Spanish guitars, jazzy keyboards, funky beats, and breathy, singsong vocals combine into one.
On Friday afternoon, New York groove rockers Luscious Jackson announced that they had decided to split up, confirming rumors that had been floating on the Internet.
"We want to let our fans know that we are still good friends," vocalist Jill Cunniff said in a statement announcing the split. "We all want to diversify what we do individually, and the band just came to its natural conclusion. It's been a great eight years, and we hope to work together again in the future."
"We want to thank our fans for their amazing support over the years as well as the people who supported and worked for us and with us personally and professionally all this time," drummer Kate Schellenbach added.
