Abstract: The Farrelly brothers pull off this fun romantic comedy
Successfull executive Lindsay Meeks (Drew Barrymore) meets a sensitive high school teacher Ben Wrightman. Not exactly the guy she had in mind, but after dating for a little while, everything seems perfect. Almost a little too perfect, as characters start to wonder why he's still single.
After a some weeks, we're introduced to his true love: The Boston Red Sox.
Without a clue about baseball, Lindsay tries to stay afloat amidst his passion, err obsession for the game. She tries to compete with the team and fans he loves without becoming the needy girlfriend.
This is a very touching and funny movie. The Farrelly brothers do an amazing job in this contemporary style comedy of creating real characters. It's refreshing to see them build a relationship that is believable rather than the characters getting together and you're not really sure why.
I've become increasingly a fan of Drew Barrymore in movies such as Ever After and 50 First Dates, and again she doesn't disappoint.

I like both the principle actor's in Fever Pitch, as well as the Farrelly Bros, so I was fully prepared to enjoy the film, but was a little disappointed.
Though I realize that the plot isn't really the point of the film, I found the predicability detracted from my enjoyment.
I guess I also have a difficult time relating to the degree of obsession in a sports team exhibited by the character. I guess it's just a guy thing!

I'm already a sucker for a good romantic comedy, but throw in baseball, and I'm in heaven!
Too bad I'm not a Sox fan! Go Toronto!!!!!
