Abstract: Veet Hair Removal Mousse spray mousse that can painlessly remove hair on the body. Use in the shower for longer lasting results than shaving!

The light foamy texture of the product allows it to maintain its hold without dripping while the chemicals in the mousse dissolve the protein structure of the hair, turning it into a washable residue. As an added bonus, the spray can is designed to be used upside down for those hard-to-reach areas like the ankles and behind the knees.

its fine, it works
POSTED:

it works fine, of course it doesnt last as long as waxing but ive never had a problem with it, the instructions are there for a reason, as if youre dumb enough to mess up such simple and basic steps

whoever it was that complained about it getting stuck in your drain, well duh, its mousse and all you gotta do is spray it with water

everyone with burns, should have done a patch test or tried the sensitive one

alternative to shaving
POSTED:
Tue Dec 11 2007 by satisfied customer
i hate shaving. hate it. i started using this product about a year ago and i love it. i find that, if i leave it on for about 5 minutes or so, everything comes off. i put it on my entire legs and brush my teeth, etc. then go in the shower and use the bladeless razor under the water and it works just fine. i agree with some of the people on here that i'm not sure what people are doing wrong...i have never had any problems! it is SO much easier than shaving and it lasts longer

VEET - NOT SO COOL
POSTED:
Mon Dec 10 2007 by susie02xoxo
Okay...first of all, to the ladies ( or guys? ) who posted about using veet correctely - YES WE HAVE AND YOU PEOPLE MUST BE FREAKS because no one in their right mind would use something new without reading the directions.
I read the directions and didn't even leave VEET on for the total time it told me to! As soon as I put it on...it came right back off. This was on Saturday, it is now Monday and I'm still in pain.
I did write to the company and demanded some sort of response from them, and some sort of compensation for my pain and discomfort. "They will get back to me in 4-5 business days " - yeah right!

DON'T USE VEET!

bikini cream
POSTED:
Mon Dec 10 2007 by charlotte uk
i am debating whether to even give the product a 1 it was so bad...i used the bikini cream think maybe it would mean i wouldn't get razor rash but i got something much worse instead. removed the odd patch of hair but has also effectively burnt off my clit! (at least thats what it feels like) and before anyone says anything i did read the instructions carefully, exceptionally carefully and followed them to the letter seeing as it is such a delicate area. don't use this product you will regret it!

Veet blows
POSTED:

I hate shaving my legs because it always causes an irritation. So, I decided to try Veet. Stuff stunk like hell and the little "razor" thing only just scraped up the Veet crap. And now... I have the nastiest looking burn on the back of my leg. I figured screw this, I'm buying a damn electric razor for legs. Veet is awful.

And yes, I did the test patch... no problems.

As for the privates, didn't even want to try there. They sell an electric razor that they say will not bite you b/c the teeth are so close together, it's $60 but you'll never hafta deal with nicks and cuts or painful waxing.

"Napalm Bomb" burns victim from a war documentary!
POSTED:
Tue Dec 04 2007 by Neil
< Known locally as "Silverback" the mountain Gorilla. I decided to use veet hair removal cream. I used it on my back first. For all those who claim veet is good, and the rest of us are dumb for not testing this product on a small area first. I DID TEST IT, THREE TIMES! I followed the instructions to the letter. Although it did not remove all of my "Industrial Strength Man Hair" it didnt do any damage to my back. However I also did a small test on my legs, and stomach, with no immediately noticable problem. so carried on. After useing supplied sponge (which started to feel like a metal scourer), and showering, I now look like an extra from a War Film. If Veet can get away with this, then surely it must be legal for me to baptise their CEO in a vat of acid? I bought this product to improve my appearance, not disfigure it! Any movie producers reading through this want a war film casualty extra, im your man :D Any women into men who look like they have served many "Battle Scarred" decades in the SAS, and have the wounds to prove it, (Thanks to Veet) I am now also your man :D

Thinking of using Veet?
You're better off using an old, bloody, syphilis-infected razor from the 1920's.

Veet mousse and 3 minutes
POSTED:
Sat Nov 24 2007 by jenn
Veet is great, widly used in Europe. The 10 min mouse is fantastic for LEGS only. Rinse and finish with a washcloth. The 3 min can is good for bikini line, but ONLY 3-4 minutes. You may have to rub with wash cloth, or finish off the next day.

NEVER buy the "creme" - big bottle or tube and very cheep - will smell horrible and burn you. I have the scar to prove it.

Ok, so I tested it out on my legs and that went fine, except the stuff is a little hard to get off. Then I tried it on my bikini area...DAMN that was the worst pain I have ever felt. I think I left it on there for about one minute and went running for the shower!!! My skin is raw and I'm going to be thoroughly pissed if this ruins my date tomorrow night!!!

DONT EVER USE THIS BEWARE
POSTED:
Sat Sep 15 2007 by Diane
I like many others did a patch test, no problem, I then used it on my legs couldnt find the razor that came with it , so I grabbed a washcloth, just an ok job still lots of stubs left, I then jumped in the shower, accidently by mistake while in the shower I grabbed the wrong washcloth, immediately my face was on fire, I must have spent 20 or more minutes trying to wash this stuff off of my face and all that hit my face was the residual left on the washcloth, in which I rinsed this off before I placed it in the shower, it has been 4 months now and I have numerous small scars on my face and chin, as well as 1 lesion that refuses to go away, so people please be VERY AWARE of that this nasty stuff can do to you ,

it works perfectly fine for me an dfor everyone who used it one their bikini line and are now complaining, why dont u try reading the directions because it specifically says not to use it on genital are, nipples, ears, faces, etc.. you can read the directions yourself

btw it works wonderfully on my legs and its took about a week for it to start growing back, it may be slighty messy and uncomfortable but definitely worth it

veet: great except the smell
POSTED:
Tue Sep 04 2007 by kari
i just used veet for the first time about ten minutes ago. i left it on for about 4 minutes on a square inch portion of my leg for the reaction spot test. at 3 minutes, the hair wasn't coming off so i left it on a little longer. then i had to go over it twice with the "razor". the area was left very smooth with no drying out. there were no major red rashes, blisters, or anything like this site scared me with a few minutes prior to trying veet. it didn't burn at all. i would reccommend that EVERYONE does a spot test before using it ANYWHERE if you want to stay safe. i'll definetly use this again. there was no burning whatsoever. the only part that i was unsatisfied with was the gross chemically smell. at least they tried to cover it up... good luck ladies!

Veet isn't so neat
POSTED:

I had used Nair for a while on my legs and figured I should try this ever so cool Veet with a blade thingy. A few minutes ago was my first time using it. I put it on. Well with Nair 3 minute formula I have to leave it on for 8 or 9 minutes due to my thick hair. This stuff I left on for about 3 minutes and attempted to take it off. First, I couldn't get it off with the blade thing. My hair was coming off but the Veet wasn't and, in fear my skin was about to get eaten off, I took a wash cloth to it and it STILL wouldn't come off. So I had to scub it off my legs using the washcloth and warm water and now there is Veet sticking to my drain!!!! I dried them and noticed some large flakes of skin coming off. Oh my and to my surprise, I just noticed my leg still has a little stubble left. This stuff sucks. It was way more messy than Nair and my overall experience was poor. My legs itch incredibly bad now. Will NEVER uset his stuff again!!!

Just got finished using for first time. Left on for 4 minutes 1 leg quadrant at time. Incredible results. Smooth, silky, no rash. After reading here i'm scared to use again. I only used on my legs.

I used Veet for the first time earlier today. It worked just fine, missed a few hairs here and there, but the smoothness is still better than a shave. Hopefully it will last longer too. My only compliant is the smell. All of you with chemical burns need to learn how to read instructions or in the very least do a test spot.

I just used this for the first time not even half an hour ago and I'm MISERABLE! I left it on for 3 minutes like the directions said, and tried a little patch but nothing happened. So, I waited a little while longer and tried again.
I'm half way through shaving it off when it starts to HORRIBLY BURN! I couldn't even finish I had to wash it off!
Not only did it leave patches of stubble, I'm covered in horrible rash patches and sore spots.
Doesn't help that the package says you can't apply anything else on your legs for 24 hours.
What a waste of 12 bucks.
Shaving with a razor blade is a lot less of a hassle. Sure, you might get a cut here or there, but it's a heck of a lot better than burning your skin off! Back to Venus I go!

used it two times, worked great, then a large thing showed up on leg within two weeks of use, dr. said pre-cancer! Any connection I don't know, but I've gone 62 yrs with no prob. now this! Don't risk it. I used the one for sensitive skin.

not worth it- AT ALL
POSTED:
Tue Jul 17 2007 by grr
I used this stuff once a couple of years ago, and it was a horrible experience. But the glamorous Alysa Milano commercials took their effect... I decided to give it another try.

Veet is kind of messy. Second, even though I've never had a problem with sensitive skin, the gel cream felt very uncomfortable when I put it on. Not unbearable, but it burned and itched slightly. I tested a spot after three minutes, but I still had stubble, so I left it on for the full six. Then I "shaved" it off. Not only was I still very, very stubbly, but the gel cream left an uncomfortable residue on my skin that was VERY hard to get off, even after washing repeatedly with soap. (In fact, I was tempted to use my regular razor, just to shave off the residue!)

My underarms were still as stubbly as they had been when I put the stuff on. Ridiculous. I stupidly decided to try the gel cream again on my underarms about ten minutes later. WORST - PAIN- EVER.

I'm really disappointed that I decided to give it another shot. I only lost 7 bucks, but I'm really irritated that it didn't even make my legs smooth. I wouldn't even complain about the discomfort and overall grossness and messiness, if it actually DID make your legs smooth!

I've heard some girls say that they like veet just fine. Maybe my skin is just sensitive. But how does that explain the stubble??

Take my advice- If Veet doesn't work for you the first time, just give up - throw it out- and never try it again.
