Abstract: Add a little dirt to your fragrance

Dimensions: 1 oz

The Demeter fragrances are based on fragrances from your memory. These single note scents are created to stir up pleasant childhood memories and create a feeling of well being.

Each scent is carefully researched and hand-blended in the Classic European traditon. Each of these affordable Demeter fragrances truly captures the essence of each scent. You really can smell and feel the inspiration. They do fade fairly quickly but this just gives you chance to wear a few different scents throughout the day!

Some interesting smells include: dirt, Ginger Ale, Gin & Tonic, Orange Cream Pop, Waffle Cone, tomato and tons more.

Demeter fragrances are rumored to be quite popular with celebrities such as Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz and Cher. Surprisingly "Dirt" seems to be one of the more popular among them, with Tyra Banks and Sharon Stones wearing this interesting choice.

Great for the first ten minutes

I love the idea of these scents, sort of like the machine that Maude had in the movie Harold and Maude, that made the smell of snow and rain and dirt. And while Demeter does most of the time hit their scent target, there is too much alcohol in them causing the scents to evaporate quickly. They have absolutely no staying power. The only one I've found that manages to hang on for more than half an hour is Ocean. I wish they would use more oil and less alcohol.

crazy but wearable

Some of these are very true to form; gin and tonic smells like gin and tonic, dirt smells like dirt. Tomato doesnt really smell like tomato to me, though, and grass is too floral to be a true representation. The ones I have tried (which lean more to the fresh side than the sweet) are all very wearable for all their unorthodox inspiration. My favorite is earl grey tea, who knew bergamot was so enticing....

Strange and fun at the same time!

I was surprised to see these fragrances at London Drugs (Vancouver). I'd seen them everywhere in magazines, etc. but didn't know where to try them. I smelled Cotton Candy (super sweet), Dirt (you guessed it, smells like dirt), Angel Food Cake (got me hungry) and my favourite was Gin & Tonic. Smelled light and fresh but seemed to smell slightly off after a few hours. I'll sample again before I decide to buy.
