1. Using a square shaped shadow blender brush, apply a pinky violet shimmery shadow (G).
2. Create a fairly definite diagonal line that starts from the arch of the brow and goes all the way to the bottom of the lid so that the line is about a 45 degree angle as shown.

3. Next apply a matte white shadow using the same brush. Apply a tiny bit of a white shimmer color (shadow or shimmer powder) to add a bit of frosty dimension.
4. Using the same brush, blend softly with the angled violet line.

5. Now add a heavy application of silver powder (J) around the eyes. You should add it from the eyebrow down to below the eye. You will be adding blush a few steps later which will blend directly below this line.

6. And of course more silver powder dusting. This time a lighter dusting to the areas shown. Don't forget the other side!

7. Now for the blush. Apply a nice deep pink liquid gel blush (K) on the apples of the cheeks.
TIP: If you are going to apply powder, it's best to do it after you've applied the blush since it's a liquid - you may need to do this blush as your step one.
8. Apply a slight dusting of light rosy pink powder blush (I) along the outside of the apples to finish the contour look.
9. For a little extra violet panache, we also added a light dusting of the same violet we used on the eyes.

10. And now for the lips - use some lip balm (Vaseline Lip Care works well) and then apply a heavy layer of berry colored lip stain (M). Apply some of your favorite shimmery pink gloss (L) over top with your finger.
11. To finish off the look: Define eyebrows using a wedge brush and a shadow powder slightly darker than your eyebrows.
12. Curl eyelashes if necessary and and apply soft black mascara.

TIP: Maybelline Lash Discovery is a great mascara for people who need to curl lashes or who have very fine lashes since it is really light and doesn't weigh them down.

Pink is one of those perfect colors for everyone, but be sure to customize your pink based upon your skin hue. General rule: the fairer your skin, the more subtle a pink you'll want to chose. Women with olive skin and African-American skin can delve into the truly bold pinks, while those of you with fairer skin may want to be more delicate with your application.

Thanks to our lovely makeup model Kristy - who was such a good sport being photographed in front of a big ol' garbage bin - it was just the perfect shade of blue to complement her makeup, so can you really blame us?!
